Gabrielle Gerstman, LMSW
Staff Therapist
I believe that all humans share a fundamental need to be seen, understood, and validated. As a therapist, I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel safe to explore their inner world, process pain, and move toward healing. I see therapy as a deeply human experience—and feel honored to walk alongside in the journey.
I work with adults navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity exploration, PTSD, and OCD. My approach is tailored to each individual, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, and mindfulness-based practices. I integrate these approaches flexibly, based on each person’s goals, strengths, and lived experiences.
I bring a social justice lens to my work, holding space for the ways systemic and structural factors shape our mental health. I also believe deeply in the power of the mind-body connection—particularly when it comes to healing from trauma—and often incorporate mindfulness and body-based awareness into the therapeutic process. At the core of my practice is the belief that meaningful change is possible when we feel truly heard. Together, we can work to cultivate insight, resilience, and a sense of inner steadiness—even in the face of life’s challenges.
I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University and am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of New York. Please feel free to reach out on our website to request a free 10-minute phone consultation with me. I would be happy to speak with you.
