Carl Rogers, the renowned American psychologist, once said, “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I change”. This statement speaks to an integral aspect of the therapeutic process and one that is central to the way I work with my clients. I view therapy as a unique space that offers the opportunity for deep self-reflection and growth. I strive to offer a compassionate, warm, judgment-free space that will help you develop the tools needed to make the changes you want to see in your life. This is largely done through a process of acceptance that fosters willingness and ability to make these changes.

I am equipped to help with a wide array of issues; however, my areas of specialization include addressing addictive behaviors, anxiety and mood difficulties, and anger/stress management. I incorporate an integrative approach to treatment, utilizing different modalities that assist in processing past and current experiences alongside developing coping skills and mindfulness-based skills. I take a person-centered, integrative approach incorporating other modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based work. We’ll work together as you process past and current experiences, while also developing enhanced coping skills to manage day-to-day difficulties.

I received my MA in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY Brooklyn College, and I completed a specialized clinical internship from the Addiction Institute at Mount Sinai West.
