Eleni Glytsea, MA
Staff Therapist, MHC-LP

As a therapist I strive to understand and meet the unique needs of each of my clients while creating a safe and secure therapeutic space. I provide compassionate, empathic support as I help my clients gain insight into their lives, negotiate difficult emotions, process past experiences, and take concrete steps toward meaningful and satisfying life directions.

While I help clients with a wide range of difficulties, I specialize in working with young adults who may be struggling with life changes, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depressed mood, self-esteem issues, family issues, and trauma. My approach to therapy is integrative, which means that our work will draw from a number of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches and more. While I spend a good deal of time working to help my clients process and understand their experiences, my approach is also very goal oriented. I prioritize working toward the resolution of ongoing issues through a process of collaborative problem-solving and by working toward the development of coping skills that provide relief from acute distress.

I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Yeshiva University. Before joining Soho Psychology, I worked with young adults and adolescents in college counseling centers and private practice settings.

I offer a free 10-minute phone consultation. If you would like to speak, please use the link below.
