As a therapist, I prioritize building a warm, safe, and supportive relationship with my clients and on providing a compassionate environment that can be used to explore your needs, strengths, and goals. As you engage in the therapeutic process, I will be a calm, accepting, and encouraging presence, instilling hope and joy, and perhaps at times even laughter.
I help clients from all walks of life seeking help for an array of issues. These include anxiety problems, depressed mood, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, stressful life transitions, and trauma. Using an integrative and holistic approach, I will tailor treatment to your evolving individual needs. This may include incorporating Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral (REBT), in addition to mindfulness-based approaches.
We will develop an individualized plan based on what’s most important to you. We will address past and present difficulties as well as concerns you may have about your future. While doing this, we will bring awareness to thoughts and feelings that may emerge in the present moment. We will build upon your strengths and work to better understand the internal and external barriers you may be experiencing in life. Together, we will journey upon the insights you have about your life and your unique personal narrative. We will do this in the service of increasing your capacity for self-compassion and personal empowerment and to facilitate your ability to move forward in increasingly positive, valued life directions.
I earned my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University's Teachers College. Prior to joining Soho Psychology, I worked as a therapist at Fordham University's Counseling and Psychological Services.
