MIchelle Goggin, PhD
Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Goggin is a licensed psychologist and psychoanalyst with advanced training in interpersonal psychoanalysis, a relationship-centered approach that explores how our patterns, emotions, and sense of self are shaped through interactions with others. Dr. Goggin has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Long Island University-Brooklyn as well as a postgraduate certificate in psychoanalysis from the William Alanson White Institute and has trained and worked in a variety of clinical settings from inpatient hospitals to outpatient and private practice settings.

In therapy, she works to create a warm, collaborative space for people to reflect, gain insight, and grow through meaningful connection. She has a particular interest in working with mothers, supporting women through the profound and complex emotional experience of motherhood, including identity shifts, relationship changes, and the challenges of balancing caregiving and self-care. Dr. Goggin also has a particular interest in working with athletes, both current and former, who are navigating performance pressure, identity, injury, transitions, or the emotional demands of competition.

Grounded in empathy, curiosity, and respect, Dr. Goggin helps clients explore the deeper emotional themes behind anxiety, depression, self-sabotage, and relationship challenges. Therapy with Dr. Goggin is about both symptom relief and developing a more authentic, resilient connection to oneself and to others.
